Pen drawing tends to be “jerky” with Cricut models so the results would probably be disappointing, anyway.

Load them into your system according to the instructions for loading fonts for your operating system, then choose the character you want from the palette. For the win version there is a button in SCAL to temporarily load fonts that are not installed in your system, so that may be an option, too.

(oh but how do you cut it – does it create a shadow around the ‘drawing’ portion… hhmmm how would that happen in SCAL…off to watch the video sure it explains it there.)
